Nat Young Wins 2008 O'Neill Cold Water Classic

Santa Cruz, CA (October 27, 2008):

Santa Cruz local Nat Young won the 2008 O'Neill Cold Water Classic yesterday by beating Granger Larsen, Chris Waring, and Sean Moody in the finals. The last day of the contest featured solid four to six foot waves allowing Young and others to put on a show for the crowd. Nat Young faced a long day of close heats, but ultimately the goofy-footed surfer used his backside surfing skills to win the 2008 title.

“I’m super excited,” Young said. “I lost in the junior’s and just wanted to do good in this. Just making the Final in this was good, and to win it…”
