2008 Hang Loose Santa Catarina Pro Round 2 Results
Imbituba, Brazil (October 31, 2008):
After two off days, Round 2 of the 2008 Hang Loose Santa Catarina Pro was completed today at Praia da Vila Beach in Imbituba, Brazil. Surfers faced tricky wind blown conditions, but battled it out to see who would advance to Round 3. Five Brazilians were among the group to advance to Round 3 which included C.J. Hobgood (USA), Heitor Alves (BRA), Tiago Pires (PRT), and Jihad Khodr (BRA). There was controversy as well with the scoring in Jordy Smith's (ZAF) heat with local favorite Pedro Henrique (BRA).
Contest organizers will meet tomorrow morning to decide on running Round 3. Stay tuned.
