2008 Vans Triple Crown of Surfing Starts Next Week

North Shore, HI (November 4, 2008):

The 2008 Vans Triple Crown of Surfing gets started next week with the 2008 Reef Hawaiian Pro in Haleiwa, HI. The Vans Triple Crown consists of the Reef Hawaiian Pro, O'Neill World Cup of Surfing, and the Billabong Pipeline Masters which run between November 12th until December 20th, 2008. The first two contests are 6-star WQS contests but typically pull in some of the top Hawaiian surfers. The 2008 ASP World Tour season wraps up with the third leg of the Vans Triple Crown - the 2008 Billabong Pipeline Masters. The 2008 Vans Triple Crown is putting up $600,000 in prize money as well as one of surfing's most prestigious titles. The action should be intense as the ASP World Tour surfers on the bubble fight to requalify.
