2008 Oxbow World Longboard Tour Round 3 Results
San Clemente, CA (November 8, 2008):
Round 3 of the 2008 Oxbow World Longboard Tour took place yesetrday in consistent two to three foot surf at San Onofre State Beach in San Clemente, CA. The biggest story of Round 3 was the elimination of reigning ASP World Longboard Tour Champion Phi Rajzman (BRA) by 17-year old trialist Joe Aaron (USA).
"I'm so psyched," Aaron said. "I'm just stoked that I got the sets and beating him is just such a career highlight for me. To me, before I started that heat I was kind of thinking that going against the world champ, that it was impossible for me to advance, but I guess nothing's impossible."
Top seeds Bonga Perkins (HAW) and Ned Snow (AUS) as well as SoCal favorite Taylor Jensen (USA) posted big scores in advancing to Round 4. Round 4 is expected to get underway today at 7:30 AM. For more information check out OxbowPro.com.
