2009 ASP World Tour Schedule of Surf Contests

The Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) released the 2009 calendar for the ASP World Tour, WQS, Pro Junior, and World Longboard events. Missing from the list of ASP World Tour contests is a stop in Fiji. Another big change is that surfers will only count the results from 8 of the 10 events. To take advantage of better surf conditions in Brazil, the Hang Loose Santa Catarina Pro will be held from June 27th to July 5th in Imbituba, Brazil instead of in November.
The ASP WQS will add four 6-star contests to the O'Neill Coldwater Classic series including events in Cape Town, Tasmania, and Canada to their two existing events in Santa Cruz and Scotland. In addition, the 6.0 Lowers Pro at Lower Trestles will now be a WQS 6-star contest.
