2009 Billabong Air and Style Snowboard Contest Final Results - Colin Frei Wins

Innsbruck, Austria (February 1, 2009):

The 2009 Billabong Air & Style snowboard quarterpipe contest took place yesterday in Innsbruck, Austria. 20 year-old Colin Frei from Switzerland took the gold in this Swatch TTR 6-star contest. Frei landed a McTwist Indy Grab in the final to knock off Peetu Piiroinen (FIN) and Olivier Gittler (FRA). Frei was the big story of the event, but Peetu's second place finish enabled him to take the lead on the Swatch TTR World Snowboard Tour.
