Surfer Kelly Slater to Go for Title Number Ten at the Quiksilver Pro

Coolangatta, Australia (February 15, 2009):

Kelly Slater will begin his quest for his tenth ASP World Title with the 2009 Quiksilver Pro presented by LG Mobile which runs from February 28 until March 11, 2009. Slater announced that he is committing to the full season of competition in search of his tenth title.

 “I commit to where I am. I’ll be on the Gold Coast for sure. I’m pretty excited about some new equipment and am ready to surf, I think. No. 10 is alluring and is there for the attempt, but I’ll let everyone else worry about the pressure of it as well as I can.”
