Squaw is a sick overall resort that offers great freeriding terrain as well as killer parks and pipes. The new village is bringing in a ton of people but has some good restaurants if you stay there. Squaw Valley
Just an insane overall mountain that shouldn't be missed. A bit out of the way for SoCal riders, but make a trip out to ID and you'll be stoked. Sun Valley

Okay, so not the sickest mountain out there, but you can't beat the proximity to LA, if that's where you live. Hard to believe there can be a resort that close to a major city but check it. Mt. Baldy Ski Resort
