The guides at Portillo are capable of flying you up to 14,000 feet into the Andes for a 4000 vertical foot descent.

Note from Portillo Heliskiing: “The company that provides our helicopters for Portillo heliskiing (Helitrans Ltda.), has had an unfortunate problem and will be unable to provide us with helicopters this season. We are trying to find an alternative but have been unable to find equipment suitable for hi altitude flying. This means that we will temporarily not be offering heliski to our guests.”
