General Overview
Barra da Lagoa is a great place for beginner's to sharpen their skills before taking on the more difficult breaks in Florianopolis. The bad news is that right when the swell picks up, Barra da Lagoa is closed for the fishing season during parts of May and June. On the other hand, when the winds are blowing onshore at Praia Mole that are usually offshore at Barra da Lagoa. The break can be accessed by the Rio Vermelho road.
