General Overview
St Gilles Croix-de-Vie is a quaint coastal town located between Saint Jean de Monts and Les Sables-d’Olonne and is the perfect French summer resort. There are over 3km of sandy beaches with the main beach located on the north side of the Vie estuary. Although it's better known as a kite surfing mecca when the wind is light this mellow beach break is perfect for a surfer of a certain age on a longboard. There is an active surf community with local competitions and surf festival. The summer time tourists can make it a crowded line-up but there are plenty of places to check out just north and south of town. Explore and enjoy. Secret Spot Policy
