There are many surf spots near Les Sables d'Olonne but Tenchet can give up some very nice waves either on it’s shifting sandbanks or just off the jetty to the north. It’s a small city so expect crowds that are mellow for the most part. The summer is madness but in the autumn and the later cooler months, empty peaks can be poached. It can handle some size and if you catch it with swell running consider yourself très fortuné.
