General Overview
Being a well-known surf spot and boasting quality waves La Sauzaie brings in year round crowds from the surrounding environs.
La Sauzaie line-up can and does get packed with an unusually (for France) competitive group of hot young surfers and not so mellow longboarders alike. Because of its high quality waves and dense populace the surfing lifestyle has become thoroughly entrenched in La Sauzaie and the city hosts the annual ASP Vendee Surf Pro springtime event. The wave, which can hold size, breaks on a rocky reef and is short, fast, hollow and very powerful. If you've got your surf-mojo going on and can still keep a laissez-faire attitude paddle out and have at it. Secret Spot Policy
