General Overview
A bit south of Ile de Re’ and across another toll bridge is the Ile D’Oleron home to several quality surf spots with Les Huttes offering some of the best waves to be had on this small island. On the right day Les Huttes has several peaks going both left and right giving up plenty of waves.
When Southwest swells are pushing into the shallow beach the results are fantastic hollow tubes requiring a high level of surfing prowess to make the super fast and powerful barrels. The shore break can be wicked and drownings occur each year. Take care here. Secret Spot Policy
