General Overview
On the northern tip of Ile D’Oleron is the exposed reef at Chassiron. Forget the summer, it’s flat and the beaches crowded but when a Southwest groundswell hits and Chassiron is working, you can find short powerful right-handers and some long lefts rolling across the sharp rocky reef. Watch out for the extreme riptides and take care walking across the reef. Secret Spot Policy
