General Overview

The long stretch of beach at Vieux Boucau has typical shifting sand bar peaks but also has a nice river mouth set-up. Both spots break consistently and during the summer months can get crowded. Autumn brings fewer visitors but more West swells which churn up the many surfable breaks. Take care of the strong currents moving huge amounts of water along up the coast.
