General Overview
Lafitenia is a very long peeling right hand point break, a classic European wave. During the summer months the campground on the point is full, the beaches are packed and the line-up is busy, busy, busy. If you can, it’s better to wait until autumn and catch a big Northwest swell after the tourist have allé à la maison.
It’s an outstanding break that can hold size up to double overhead and if the sections link up it can turn into 250-300 meters of long, smooth, leg-burning green wall to carve and cruise. At the low tide the inside section hollows out for anyone looking for a little shade. This is a must for any surfer wanting that classic French surfing experience.
